The ASB Classic is one of the most anticipated events on the Auckland calendar. I was thrilled to be a part of the action this year. The line-up was undoubtedly the greatest that we’ve seen in this country with superstars Venus and Serena Williams being the main draw card.
The Open proved a huge deal for New Zealand tennis and tourism because Serena is after all the best, she’s the highest paid woman in sports and together the sisters have delivered the most prestigious of tennis spanning more than 15 years. I’ve been a fan of the duo since way back, I saw Venus play at Wimbledon, still the best was yet to come watching both on home turf.
